Crowding

Crowding is when teeth overlap each other due to the lack of space.

Spacing

Spacing is gaps between upper or lower teeth.

Deepbite

Deepbite is when the upper teeth overlap the bottom front teeth excessively.

Openbite

Openbite is when upper teeth do not meet the lower teeth. Openbites could be in the front or sides.

Thumb sucking can often lead to this:

Overjet or buck teeth are when upper front teeth are too far forward compared to the lower front teeth. Thumb sucking can often lead to this.

Crossbites or Underbite

Crossbite or underbite are when lower jaw/lower teeth are outside the upper jaw/ upper teeth.

Missing Teeth

Impacted Teeth

This is when teeth get stuck in the bone in the wrong direction and cannot grow in. It mostly occurs with canines (eye teeth) and pre-molars but it can occur with any tooth.

Preparation for Dental Crowns or Implants

Prior to placing dental crowns or implants consider orthodontic treatment first so that missing teeth can be replaced conservatively and cost effectively.

Cleft Palate + Underbite

Cleft palates always cause severe deformities in jaws and misalignment of teeth.

Bad Oral Habits

Bad oral habits like thumb/finger sucking, tongue thrusting etc. lead to problems with jaws, teeth, oropharynx, breathing issues etc.

Narrow Jaws + Crowding

Severe Protrusion of Teeth

Severely protruded teeth besides being unaesthetic are also at a higher risk of getting injured during play, sports etc.

Baby Teeth Not Falling Out in a Timely Manner

When baby teeth do not fall out in a timely manner, they prevent adult teeth from growing in/growing in correctly. Sometimes this manifests as a double row of teeth (shark teeth).
